I am a developer that has been working in software since 2013, before that I used to work in hardware. I switched to a more software-oriented career in order to be able to make video games in the future; due to the fact that I'm very passionate when it comes to art (specially music), and this industry has allowed me to learn about many other disciplines besides my own. These include 3D modelling and animation, 2D illustration along with sprite sheet and tiling design, sound design, music design, and graphic design.I have a bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering and a Master's degree in electronic engineering. I used to work on control systems for power electronics, which required extensive knowledge in mathematics and programming. My programming background is more hardware-oriented which tends to be a more modular architecture. I have brought this modular design to game programming, favoring the entity-based approach.Back in 2013 I worked in an agency where I developed advertisement games with Unity using leap motion, integrating openCV for image recognition and used MS kinect for simple applications. Some time later I worked with a game developing company that was working on the game Eco, a survival voxel-style co-op. I worked on their kickstarter demo integrating animations and UI. After that I have worked in various projects from strategy games, FPS, some survival horror as well as interactive educational and recreational applications.I've been able to apply some of my hardware abilities in order to integrate the required tools needed in a project. Unity has been my main tool, but I can also use Unreal Engine and Visual Studio when anything native is required in both C# and C++ (I do tend to like C# a bit more). I can also use software like Blender, MagicaVoxel, Photoshop and other art-related programs if it is required (although it's mostly been for personal projects). I can also play the bass, guitar and have some very basic knowledge regarding music composition and sound editing.
